New Trustees Elected

Richmond, VA: St. John’s Church Foundation is pleased to announce that Dr. Dan Roberts and Mr. James Driscoll have been elected to seats on the Board of Trustees.

 

Dr. Dan Roberts is executive producer and host of the award-winning radio series, A Moment in Time. A Moment in Time originates in Richmond, Virginia on public radio station 88.9 FM– WCVE, and is heard by more than four million listeners each day on over 146 public and commercial radio stations throughout the United States. Dr. Roberts is currently Professor of Liberal Arts and History at the University of Richmond with teaching and administrative responsibilities in the History Department and School of Continuing Studies.

 

James B. Driscoll, a founding partner of Gateway Healthcare Professionals, a healthcare recruitment firm based in Richmond, Virginia is also Managing Partner of the company. A native Richmonder, Mr. Driscoll spent 10 years at Philip Morris International and 3 years at Bon Secours Virginia in managerial roles including IT, Human Resources and Finance. He participates in the Graduate Mentor Program of the Anna Julia Cooper Episcopal School and his nonprofit work includes the Virginia Treatment Center for Children and For Love of Molly Foundation.

 

Dennis Hedgepeth, President of St. John’s Church Foundation, said, “We are very fortunate to have Dan and James on our Board of Trustees. They both bring great skills to the Foundation.”Hedgpeth continues, “We will greatly benefit from their experience and expertise which will help us achieve our mission of providing educational programs for students and the public and preserving St. John’s Church, a National Historic Landmark.‚Äù

The mission of St. John’s Church Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1938, is to promote and preserve historic St. John’s Church, a National Historic Landmark in recognition as the original location of Patrick Henry’s “Give me liberty or give me death”speech at the Second Virginia Convention of March 1775, for the education of present and future generations.
